The course: Alum Creek! da Creek' hosts race number 7 of the OMBC series. COMBO has built the most used trail in the state. And they do a great job keeping it in straight order. The laps come thick and fast at the Creek. A tight twisting rooted back breaker of a trail with many creek crossings and bridges. Although its flat, don't expect any easy ride in the 'burbs of the Bus. Flat means there's nowhere to hide and nowhere to recover. Check out the Spoke Junkies review here. Times are: Check back soon for race times. Classes: All OMBC race divisions . Fees: $25.00 Directions: From Columbus: I-71 north to St Rt 97. St Rt 97 east through Belleville and Butler to St Rt 3. Left or north on St Rt 3 for a few hundred yards then turn right into the gravel parking lot. Do not park inside the park entrance!. You can take the pathway underneath Rt. 3 to get into the park. Trailhead starts right behind the eastern end of the lot right inside the park. The trail will fork. Take the right fork. The other trail is a hiking only trail.
Cleveland Area: I-71 south to US Rt 250 west- exit 186. US Rt 250 west 1.5 miles to Rt 42. Rt 42 southwest 1.5 miles to Ohio 60. Ohio 60 south to Loudonville to St Rt 3. Rt 3 south to the Mohican State Park entrance on your left just before Rt. 97. Park at the gravel lot on the left(east) side of Rt 3. Do not park inside the park entrance! Camping on site: There's many camp sites in the park. Visit Alum Creek State Parks website for more info.
